Pussy Shaving 101

Here is another repost. I have been so busy lately.

I have had experience with shaven pussies since the early 1980s. Here is what I have learned. I was not not always keen on the idea of shaven pussies. As I have chronicled earlier, I actually asked one girl to let hers grow in. I wouldn’t be asking that nowadays. Anyway, through these years of experience I have seen a variety of methods to removing pubic hair, and I would like to share this experience. So here goes…you may want to order the DVD.

Do Women Like Having Shaven Pussies?
Some do. I have known women who insist on it. Others are reluctant for cultural reasons. Some absolutely refuse to do it.

Why Do Some Women Like Having Shaven Pussies?
Again, the reasons vary. Many women enjoy the feeling of cunnilingus after they have shaved. Their pussies are extra sensitive, and nothing goes together with a shaven pussy better than a freshly shaven face—or another woman’s face, but I digress. Some like the look. Some just like the change of pace, while others still just want to please their partners.

Why Don’t Some Women Like Having Shaven Pussies?
Dare I say it again: the reasons vary. Many women can’t get past their upbringing or cultural biases. This is repression, but what can you do? If you don’t want to deal with a sexually repressed women—as the saying goes—, there are other fish in the sea. If she doesn’t want to shave her pussy, she shouldn’t have to.

Some women complain that they will look like little girls—and in fact you are a pervert for wanting it. While this may be true, it is more likely that it isn’t.

It will be uncomfortable. Well, it might be if she doesn’t do it right, her skin isn’t acclimated to the razor, or it is growing back in. Generally, this goes away with time and experience.

Ways and Means
There are many ways to clear that pubic brush from plucking to shaving to waxing to depilatories (like Nair) to electrolysis to lasers to epilators. Here are some pros and cons of getting rid of he pubes.

• Plucking: Slow, Painful. I wouldn’t recommend it.
• Shaving: I think this is the most standard way to remove pubic hair. It doesn’t take that long versus other means, and it isn’t irritating if done right. Use sharp blades and lots of soap or shaving cream. Electric razors work OK, but they don’t get as close and smooth as a twin blade or better…and that is the point; isn’t it? Close and smooth.
• Waxing: Painful. Might last a bit longer than shaving. A nuisance to do yourself. Don’t bother unless you know someone who can do it for you and who knows what she is doing.
• Depilatories: Mixed results. Can cause chemical burns and irritation. I don’t recommend them.
• Electrolysis: I only know one girl who has done this, and it didn’t last. She might have been the exception to the rule as hairy as her pussy was, but given the expense and that fact that most women are probably not very comfortable spreading their pussies for a stranger, you can probably rule this one out, too. Electrolysis is supposed to last longer than shaving, and this might be the case, but I didn’t notice it to be significant given the time involved.
• Lasers: I know of one woman—only second hand knowledge—and she swears by laser hair removal. This has the same concerns of electrolysis, but is supposed to last even longer. I can’t speak to that point. If you can afford it and you aren’t shy, fine. The darker your pubes are, the better this technique works.
• Epilators: These are the things that basically pluck hairs en masse. I had a girlfriend who tried this. She returned it. Her pussy was red and sore after using it. I don’t recommend this.

More on Shaving
In my experience, the pussy needs to be divided into two sections when discussing shaving: The top area covering the mons pubis (mons veneris) or pubic mound and the lower region covering the labia majora or lower lips, around the slit. The hair on the top area of the pussy can be removed easily with an electric razor and a quick touch up with a blade, but this hair is coarser and thicker, so take your time and don’t use too much pressure or spend to much time running over the same area. I have found that this area is more prone to razor rash and shaving bumps. It is also the itchiest when growing back in. The solution? Use a sharp blade—you might want to use several blades in one sitting to be sure—, and keep it shaved. Use lots of shaving cream or soap. The kind with aloe is effective. Shave with the “grain.” Shave in the same direction of the hair growth. Otherwise, it will increase her chance of getting in-grown hairs.

The lower region around the crack is best addressed with a blade—mostly because of all of the nooks and crannies. Along the inside of the crack is the toughest. Again, just be sure to use a sharp blade.

How Can I Convince My Wife or Girlfriend (or Both) to Shave Her Pubes?
Well, you can’t. If she doesn’t want to do it, she doesn’t want to do it. However, you can present to her that many women do it, and there is nothing wrong with it. Plus, if she likes to have her pussy eaten by you, she doesn’t know what she’s missing. As an aside, my wife prefers to shave a few hours in advance to give her skin a chance to adjust. If the time wasn’t available, she can shave just before I go down on her.

The bottom line is you have to ask. Let her know why you want her to shave her pussy, and let her know how much you like the appearance of her pussy. You might be surprised to know how many women do not think their pussies are very attractive. Let her know that whether or not she likes it, you will enjoy it. Remind her, too, that she can always let the hair grow back in if she doesn’t like it after she has done it. Some couples like to do this together as a romantic encounter. My advice: don’t. It is tough enough until she gets the hang of it to contort herself to give herself a clean shave. The last thing you need to do is cut or nick her pussy. If you think it was tough convincing her to shave her pussy the first time, try it after she has cut herself. Don’t do it until she has more experience.

Sporting a shaven pussy is a matter of personal preference. If you aren’t comfortable with your body and don’t prefer to see yourself without pubes, don’t do it. Did I say that again? On the other hand, no pubes never hurt anybody.
