A reader responded to my Pussy Shaving 101 post, so I guess that makes him a writer. He prefers an unshaven pussy and poses this common argument:
Pubic hair is a maturity marker to indicate to males that a woman in sexually mature.
I cannot argue this point because it is true. However the rub here is that this marker from prepubescence into sexual maturity occurs in most girls between 9 and 12 with certain races/cultures happening at differing ends of this scale. Moreover, there are other secondary sex characteristics by which sexual maturity can be assessed. Breats come to mind, more prominent labia, et cetera. By this logic, I should use these markers to determine if a female is accessible.
No, wait a minute. There are laws. Silly me. It turns out that nature and human culture is of of sync, but that has never happened before. The point is that the argument is based on facts, but these facts are largely ignored. Moreover (again), I have never confused a shaven woman with a twelve year old—thank you very much. This argument, is lame.
It comes down to preference. When I was in my young twenties, I felt the same way as the writer. I even wrote about it here. But, now I feel differently. No problem. Diversity is the key. Get over it.
